- ECS is capable of displaying extra screen modes that OCS isn't capable of,
- such as productivity (640x480 at about 31Khz) and super-hires (1280x512)
- resolution. These modes are only capable of displaying 4 colours out of total
- palette of 64 colours. If you aren't sure what chips you have and you have
- OS2 then try accessing one of those modes...

- SysInfo will also tell you. From memory, ECS came out with OS2 so if you
- don't have OS2 then you probably don't have ECS (unless you have upgraded).

- ECS also has better support for genlocking as you can have any colour as the
- transparent colour whereas with OCS only colour 0 could only be the
- transparent colour.
